Sayed Hussain Makke is a student of Islam who was born and raised in Tottenham, London. At the age of 21 he had graduated with a Journalism degree from Brunel University and for a period of time was involved in film productions, going on to produce the Unclear Truth documentary which won first prize at the Tehran film festival in 2012. Since then, he moved to Lebanon to engage in Seminary studies at the Hawza. He has covered several topics during his studies, including; logic, Islamic law, principles of jurisprudence, Islamic history, Islamic theology, Islamic philosophy and Arabic grammar.

Sayed Hussain has recently been engaging with youth from different communities around the world on issues of Islamic identity, spirituality and mental health. He is currently pursuing Hawza studies as well as currently studying for his MA in ‘Religion and Global Politics’ from SOAS University.
