Sayed Hadi Qazwini

Sayed Hadi Qazwini is an American Muslim educator, public speaker, and adjunct professor of Islamic studies at Bayan Claremont Islamic Graduate School. For over a decade, he has educated audiences across the United States and other parts of the world on topics related to Islam in a variety of settings, including academic conferences, college and university campuses, schools, places of worship, and media outlets. S. Hadi is a graduate of the Shi’a Islamic Seminary of Qum, where he studied under the guidance of many prominent Islamic scholars. He received his B.A. in Sociology from the University of California, Irvine and his M.A. in Theology, Islamic Studies and Leadership from Claremont School of Theology and Bayan Claremont in Claremont, California. S. Hadi is currently pursuing his Ph.D. studies in Religion with a concentration on Islam at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles. His areas of academic interest and research include: Islamic and comparative theology, Islamic law and legal theory, Islam in America, inter- and intra-faith dialogue, Islamic spirituality, and Islamic history. S. Hadi currently helps to promote and fund-raise for the Development and Relief Foundation, which focuses on providing healthcare, education, and care for orphans and the disenfranchised in Iraq. He resides in southern California with his wife and three children.
